Phi Beta Kappa Alumni in South­ern Cal­i­for­nia (Alpha Asso­ci­a­tion), founded in 1918, is an orga­ni­za­tion for Phi Betes liv­ing in the area.  It cur­rently has approx­i­mately 1200 mem­bers in Los Ange­les, Ven­tura, Orange, San Bernadino, and River­side Counties.

The Alpha Asso­ci­a­tion spon­sors intel­lec­tual and cul­tural events for its mem­bers and grants schol­ar­ships and awards for inter­na­tional, grad­u­ate, and grad­u­at­ing high school students.

Mis­sion Statement

PBK Alumni of South­ern Cal­i­for­nia sup­ports lib­eral edu­ca­tion and life-long learn­ing by pro­vid­ing high-qual­ity pro­grams and inter­ac­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties for its mem­bers and schol­ar­ships for students.
